A major feature of the upgrade is Country Connect’s syndicated news feed which carries latest news of travel programmes, flight routes, and myriad other stories from the UK and international travel trade.
Country Connect researches its information through direct mailings, through networking contact with each office, and through contact with the individual Embassy representing each country in the UK. For over 10 years, the Country Connect website has helped users find the right, official sources of destination knowledge and information. It does this by listing and featuring every country which has a tourism infrastructure and which promotes itself via tourist boards or destination marketing companies.
Country Connect initially started working with UK-based national tourist offices in 1989, and since that time has established regular news-feeds for timely distribution to the UK travel industry via closed, managed networks. Elements from these feeds are made available to the public via the Country Connect website.
