A climber was airlifted from the area of the Refugio de la Caldera after being hit by a falling ice blocks whilst climbing one of the routes on the north face of the Puntal de la Caldera. He suffered a broken arm in the accident.

The recent high temperatures (24 deg in Lanjaron on Sunday) have pushed the freezing level very high. Consequently great care should be taken, especially in the afternoons.
