The relatively high temperatures in the past two days have seen a good thaw and re-freeze going on. There is now a crust to the snow pack that makes progress much easier.Stability has started although on some N and NE slopes there is some slab forming. The crest of ridges is icy and clear of snow due to the winds that have scoured sierras.
The high temperatures have made the new layer quite wet in places so there amy be possibility of wet snow avalanches on leeward slopes (N, E and NE). Risk still considerable.
