The forecasts for the forthcoming week are very mixed (See Detailed Mountain Weather). In particular the back end of the week (Thu and Fri) will be characterised by very strong winds (up to 100km/hr) and rain/snow. A very unsettled outlook.
On a positive note the snowpack has undergone further consolidation, and there is hard snow/ice in the mornings softening during the day. There is still an avalanche risk, high in the normal blackspot areas of the Sierra Nevada.
