This post is directed towards the spanish mountaineer who removed (nice word for stole) the ski basket from one of my ski poles yesterday. It was a particulary large basket perfect for the deep snow conditions we found when we ascended Mulhacen in Spain’s Sierra Nevada. I guess the culprit had lost his and just decided to take the best he could lay his hands on. It may not be a big or even costly thing, but he did make my life that day more unpleasant and difficult.
Never thought I would be saying this, but I suggest that if staying at the hut in future you store as much gear as possible in the lockers inside.
I say this to him ……………
“Whilst not wishing you any permanent harm or damage, I sincerely hope that the law of Karma, does in fact exist. I hope that you suffer at some stage in your mountainering life as a result of the actions of others.
I suggest you take a read of the “Spirit of Mountaineering Initiative“, if you can in fact read. This post will be placed in spanish on some spanish forums in the hope you read it and learn.
You are the ultimate “puta madre”.”
