Very high winds make Mulhacen difficult today. Fresh snow overnight on top of about 4cm the previous night down to 2700m. This has already started to form a slab. The winds have scoured the slopes, the west flank of Mulhacen is almost bare now but has some ice around. Bowls below Veleta have much windblown snow and some avalanche dangers exist.
