High temps in the last few days will have had an adverse effect on the snowpack. The ski centre still has 60km runs open and snow is still ok for ski touring in the following zones……. NW of Cerro de Caballo; NW of Pico del Cartujo and Veleta area. Mulhacen and south of the range is sparse with the exeption of Tajos de los Machos, which still has good snow cover E from the summit ridges down the various barrancos on offer.
