The Granada area has had abnormally high temps this past week. Yesterday 22 deg was recorded in Granada!

Whilst rock climbing yesterday at Alfacar the northern Sierras looked quite white above 2600m but I suspect that this is a little superficial. From the south the snowline is high at about 2800m and patches below. The mountaineering should be excellent! The temps are set to drop in the next few days and there should be lots of good snow/ice around. Ski touring very difficult, not to be recommended.

We are on a 3 day mountaineering trip in the northern Sierras Sun, Mon and Tues coming so will have much more to report.
